Westech Wax developed two wax cleaners, PC-205® Wax Cleaner and PC Green, as environmentally friendly alternatives to the solvents previously used to etch pattern waxes for the investment casting process. Etching the wax pattern prepares the surface for slurry, reducing surface defects due to poor slurry adhesion.
Customers using PC-205® can send a small sample of the current material in production to the Westech lab for testing to assure the highest level of purity and strength is maintained throughout the life of the product at your facility.
PC Green is a non-toxic and environmentally friendly Westech innovation. The water-soluble wax pattern cleaner replaces solvents containing fluorocarbons and cleaners that have high VOC’s. PC Green removes silicone and proves the needed etch on the wax pattern surface to promote good adhesion of the primary slurry.
