Our Commitment to You
We’re a family-run business that delivers the precision and consistency of a large corporation. And we understand that, although the product is wax, it’s really the people that matter. So we’re committed to your satisfaction, from being able to always reach one of our wax specialists, to custom wax testing and development for your specific needs. To compete on the global stage, we know that we have to not only serve you better… but we also need to know wax better, offering more innovative, smarter wax products and solutions.
Quality Wax Manufacturing
We follow specific, controlled procedures to ensure high-quality, consistent precision wax products. Our procedures are so rigorous, in fact, that Westech was granted ISO-9001:2015 certification and our in-house chemists use the latest technology to develop innovative wax blends, all while maintaining ISO-verified quality control procedures.
Over 40 years, we’ve been trusted by businesses large & small: from foundries of all types (manufacturing to art to aerospace), to multi-billion dollar conglomerates, to the top beverage companies, aerospace firms and military companies, space launch companies, premier engine manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and dozens more.
Wax Manufacturing Rooted in Investment Casting
Our roots are in manufacturing wax and wax supplies for the precision investment casting (PIC) industry, and we’re continually seeking out better ways to serve investment casters. In order to best serve the PIC industry, in 2024 Westech Wax launched our sister company, Westech Direct. Westech Direct’s dedicated investment casting team is laser-focused on serving investment casters and the PIC industry.
This, in turn, allows Westech Wax to focus on innovative, precise wax manufacturing.
Modern Wax Manufacturing
Modern wax manufacturing involves much more than bees and has expanded beyond investment casting uses. Our wax manufacturing processes may use soy, palm and other vegetable waxes, paraffins, polymers, hydrocarbons, polyethylene, lanolin, jojoba, carnauba, candelilla, and even old-fashioned beeswax.
We use these materials to manufacture a wide variety of wax (and near-wax) products, including wax blends in medicine and metal forming; to highly innovative bottling wax for wine industry; to consumer uses such as candles, scented laundry materials, and even sports products such as baseball bat wax.
And as the world has changed, so too has Westech. We will always manufacture our world-class investment casting waxes and industrial waxes. We have also invested heavily in research and development to create new and innovative wax blends.
Our chemists have even developed truly special bottling waxes that better resist cracking and fading, are safer for dipping, drips beautifully, can be removed easily from the bottle, and other proprietary features. Not only is this Westech wax technologically advanced, but this wax is beautiful.
In yet another application, our chemists developed a wax product designed for the garment industry, with an ideal melting temperature, the right scent, consistent sizing, and the perfect colors.
In the aerospace industry, we design and manufactured elite waxes which allow the world’s top aerospace companies to form carbon fiber and create incredibly fine, military-approved aerospace metal components and castings.
In the 3D printing industry, it’s standard to use a wax or wax-like product for the base material. So Westech developed custom blends for 3D printing manufacturers.
Innovative Wax Manufacturing
Our in-house wax laboratory is critical not only to wax development, but consistency of production. We verify our products’ melting point, color, hardness, brittleness, flow, rheology and elasticity. We don’t guess if a wax will work. Our chemists test and validate it, recording the data so you know it’s right.
With input from our investment casting clientele, we’ve developed cutting-edge proprietary products that you will find nowhere else, including JEL-SET® Pattern Wax, HYDROSOL™ Solvent Wax, StikWax™ Adhesive Wax, and PC-205™ Wax Pattern Cleaner.
