Q: Is Westech Wax Products ISO certified?
A: Yes. We are proud to announce that we are ISO 9001:2015 certified which assures the quality of our products is constantly improving.
Q: Do you have a laboratory?
A: Yes, we do. We currently staff two lab chemists who conduct quality tests, create custom wax blends, and are continuously developing new wax products.
Q: Do you recycle or reclaim investment casting waxes?
A: Yes! Our recycling program has kept millions of pounds of used investment casting wax out of our local landfills.

Q: What are your stock products?

JEL-SET®: Available in 250lb minimum orders.
Stikwax™: Has the highest adhesive solution in the industry. Comes in pucks or pastilles. Available in 50lb and up.
HYDROSOL™ Soluble Wax: Water soluble waxes made for the investment caster.
Patch Wax: The best patch wax in the business. Small tins available, 5 lb minimum. Comes in various hardness: PW 2-7 (higher numbers are harder waxes), call for your sample today.

Q: Do you have a variety of colors in your waxes?
A: We are known for our bright green wax and are proud to be releasing our new special yellow “banana wax” -- we’re also happy to help develop a colored wax that is unique to your business. The colors help you identify a wax so that it doesn't get mixed in where it shouldn't. The colors also often signify the specific use for a wax. In addition, it's often a point of pride to have a unique, quality wax.

Q: How much will it cost to ship my order of wax and casting supplies?
A: Our warehouses are located across the United States with distribution points in Mexico, China, Europe, and India. This helps us keep shipping costs down so we can pass those savings directly onto our customers. Contact us for more information on shipping options.
WAX INFORMATION
Q: Can I customize my wax?
A: Absolutely! We pride ourselves on rapid response to custom requests. We require a minimum 500lb order for special blends, and/or we can work with you to create just about any wax or polymer blend for a consulting fee. Q: Is there a minimum quantity order?
A: We do have minimum quantities, which vary by product and your annual needs. We are happy to accommodate most requests. Please see our Stock Products page or above for our minimum quantity information.
Q: What is pattern wax?
A: Pattern wax is used to create patterns for use in the investment casting process. To learn more about pattern wax, click here .
Q: What is pattern cleaner?
A: This special cleaner etches the surface of the wax in order to create more area on the wax pattern’s surface which makes it more receptive to ceramic slurry adhesion. This is a vital step to making a quality casting. To learn more about our wax pattern cleaners, click here .
Q: What is investment casting?
A: Investment casting, also known as the lost-wax casting method of making metal parts, has its roots in the Bronze Age. In today’s manufacturing world, investment casting is an important process used to create complex, near net shape metal parts by the tens or hundreds at a time. This process is used to create many of the metal objects we use and see on a regular basis.

A: Westech Wax Products is open Monday-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Our office is closed on holidays.
